Godaddy Subscriber Tutorials Also Applies to Latest DotNetNuke Release

My visitors keep asking me about the status of content on this blog. Altough titles of blog posts referencing to old releases of DNN, i can assure you that they also apply to DotNetNuke 5.1.2 release and later versions.

In case an issue comes up, please let me know, so that i can update the tutorials to catch up with you.

Hi Ismet,

I did three installs on the root folder with 5.x versions and they all failed. then i installed 4.9.1 and it worked like a charm on first attempt. so i think 5.x has some issues with godaddy root folder which needs to be investigated.

secondly i wanted to ask that if i continue to use 4.9.1 (for now) then would that be easy / risk free to upgrade it to 5.x later ? (after taking backups obviously)..

@skhan, i will have some extra time this week, so i will definitely test it with most recent dnn version.

If you have backups then it won't be great headache. But verify your backups :)
