Michael Washington announced Survey 04.00.85 release and Andrew Nurse announced Reports 04.05.02 release.

DotNetNuke is getting better every day. I like testing new stuff. These new versions contain a few bug fixes and new features.

Andrew Nurse says that, the next major version of Reports module will be released in a few months. He had already two weeks at Microsoft and he thinks he can't  help DNN community while working at Microsoft.

Here is a few of Reports Module Features
  • "Test Query" button on the Settings page allows Admins to verify that their query will produce results (as well as see exactly how many results are produced)
  • "Show Xml Source" button on the Settings page allows Admins to see an Xml representation of the data, in the format used by the XSLT Visualizer (designed to help in the development of XSLT transform documents)
  • "Upload SQL File" feature allows Admins to upload a text file containing their SQL script (NOTE: The file itself is not saved, its contents are simply sucked out and placed into the Query field)

The new release of Survey module fixes two important issues.
  • created new stored procedure "AddSurveyResult_cookie" to add votes when using cookie tracking
  • Module was using legacy connection setting
